RSdesignvt
Two Questions, First - Can I eliminate the Insulation off my stem wall only? (Need below slab) Second - I have a cellar opening from the garage, and I want to eliminate the step up to step down - If I lower the door height -8" CA doesnt do anything - I need the framing correct first, and then the stairs! Oh, X16 and I will give my system a whirl. RTX 3080 48GB RAM i7 3.8GHZ All that stuff works fine. Not a CPU Guru - I let my engineer son handle that. thx - R
dwilliam
For your first question, consult a structural engineer to ensure eliminating insulation won't compromise the stem wall. For the second, you'll need to reframe the doorway to the desired height before adjusting the stairs. Your system specs should handle the software well. Good luck! GeneDavis
Redefine the stairwell "room" to have floor height equal to garage, and keep its spec as "open below." Break the wall where the door goes, make it balloon through floor.
