rwaldrondesigns
I am trying to create a vanity that looks something like the one attached It would be great if I could put a sink into a table, but alas I do not see a way that I can. I often work with furniture-style cabinetry like this, but struggle with creating it- can someone point me in the right direction?
Joe_Carrick
Place your furniture in a Blank Plan& display in a perspective view. Remove the "Top" by using the "Delete Surface" Tool Export to a 3DS File Then Import that File as a Cabinet Symbol. Now you can insert a sink into the top. Dennis_Gavin
I think you need to make that from scratch using furniture legs, cabinet with top and shelves. Make the cabinet the size of the upper portion and set at appropriate height. You may not be able to find the exact style of leg so you may have to use one that is basically the same and add polyline solid boxes at the appropriate height and so the same for the shelves. The sink will insert into the cabinet with the top. Select in 3D view and convert to symbol. If you hold on the fixtures (sink, faucet) you can add them afterwards and just keep the vanity as a cabinet.
rwaldrondesigns
Thanks so much! I ended up using Dennis's suggestion- though I imagine they would both work very well!
Joe_Carrick
Basically the difference is that with my method it will be listed in the Cabinet Schedule as a single unit. With Dennis's method the Schedule and ML will not be as clearly defined.

Cheryl_C_Crane
I suppose that once it is built with cabinet parts & tools, it could be exported and imported again to appear in the cab. schedule correctly.
