aurorainteriors
I'm trying to figure out how to accomplish rendering a "tipping rail" or "gallery rail" on the shelving for my kitchen design for a client that specifically wants this look. Please see the attached link to the product we are buying:https://www.etsy.com/listing/1411610590/brass-shelf-rail-tipping-railgallery?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_-home_and_living&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQiAo7KqBhDhARIsAKhZ4ugpEEjFLXoYCKjWysrE6LdI46Vh8ufoWynZsn1LBzif_6-o8W3JYZgaAk2hEALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_12665398257_121762925993_511610210343_pla-303628061699_c__1411610590_12768591&utm_custom2=12665398257&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAo7KqBhDhARIsAKhZ4ugpEEjFLXoYCKjWysrE6LdI46Vh8ufoWynZsn1LBzif_6-o8W3JYZgaAk2hEALw_wcB I'm trying to apply this to shelving in chief. DBCooper
You might be able to design something that is pretty close just using the railing tools. In the picture below, I just made an open railing with a round top rail and some stock library newel posts. You could probably make a better newel post with a little more work. Once you've built it, you can turn it into a symbol, resize it however you like, and drop it on top of the shelves or cabinets where you want it. If you setup proper stretch planes, you should be able to keep it looking pretty good when you need to resize it.
