How to create a new light fixture in library to create more diverse lighting design

I would like to be able to copy a recessed light like I do a wall type, to create several types of recessed lighting options for lighting design I'm working on. Can I copy them and just rename them? That would be fine. Otherwise I have to do this in CAD. I have several different types of down lights I would like to use.

Yes absolutely.  Just Copy to User Catalog and modify the name and anything else you want.
