Creating a project for stand-alone item

Trying to figure out if I can do what I need in Chief Architect.

I am trying to construct a Fire Pit Table (essentially a CAD drawing)

Parameters:

  1. Metal stud construction
  2. Concrete board over the studs
  3. Stone over the Concrete board on the sides
  4. Porcelain tile on the Top
  5. Cut-out on the top for the Fire Plate
  6. End up with a bill of materials

Can this be done in Chief Architect?

Are there any tutorials that I might find helpful?

Is there a better app to use for this purpose instead of Chief Architect?

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Yes, this is possible with Chief without too much effort - think of your fire pit table as a small room.

If you want a Material List, you will need to use 3D objects so that you can assign materials to the objects.

You don't need a cad drawing, you need to build a 3D model.

Cad cannot report to the Material List.
