HannesSW Posted March 8, 2023 Share Posted March 8, 2023 I am a general contractor who made the basic design for the last house I will ever build - our retirement home - with Home Designer Pro 2021. My wife and me love the design and can already virtually walk through it - that is the pleasure of HD Pro 2021. We have it on the land, even the apricot tree is already there. But I am not an expert at this software and made many mistakes while playing around with it. For example: some exterior walls are reversed / somehow the floor in the basement is gone and now my shop is in the living room above / the staircase requires you to jump to the next step at the landing - there are many more, a lot of this is funny. Giving enough time, I would be able to address these issues myself, but I much rather work with someone who knows the software. We have a year before we need a completed set for a building department submittal - so no hurry there. But a year goes by fast and it is time to finalize the design. Once we are done with this, I will draw everything in AutoCAD - another thing I need help with. I do not need technical information. I hold a couple of licenses myself and have specialists standing by (structural engineer / plumbing / HVAC / septic - all is handled). I am located in Sacramento, CA - someone local would be nice.
