Plot Plan and Terrain Perimeter

New user that is attempting to trace surveyor drawing which is shown in the attached file. I imported the PDF and attempted the point to point resize and began the trace. 1) when I began the trace the line would not hold line with drag and when tab to enter the coordinate distance it would go in a different direction than the drag. 2) frustrated I enter the coordinates manually as decimal feet and quadrant bearing information (N47 57' 08" W) and so on until I achieved a closed polyline of my lot perimeter. 3) when I finished the lot perimeter turned out to be small than my resize with CA. 4) I have set to display number to display in decimal feet and quadrant bearing but I'm getting feet, inch, and fraction. The quadrant bearing text does not show as I entered it draw the perimeter.  

 

I hope that someone will be able to set me straight on what I've done wrong.

Looks like you are very close and just need  to set the units in General Cad Defaults.

 

You did not embed the .pdf file into the plan though so you will need to confirm the details..
