Geruski
Using Chief Architect X14 I need to add a deck to the front of a house I am drawing. It is an existing structure that needs some modifications. On the front of the house you go down 6 steps to the main door. The deck outside then has 6 steps down to ground level. This is a house on piers, so first floor is actually "the basement", but it's all above grade. If I draw the deck on the first floor, it sits at ground level, if I draw it on second floor, it builds it at the top of the door, which is main floor level. How can I set the height of the deck to meet the bottom of the door? Also, there is a roof above the deck that must be supported, so I will need to run post to beam rail on the front, but once again the height will need to be adjusted. Some pics attached, appreciate any help!
Solution Chopsaw Posted February 13, 2023 Solution Share Posted February 13, 2023 The deck height is controlled by the deck room DBX (Dialogue Box) Set it so it is the same or just below the entrance landing. Room height also controls where the roof builds.
