Vertical Dimensions

Is there a way to get your vertical dimension to face horizontally (image 2 is what I want and image 1 is the way it is before manually rotating the number) instead of it rotating with the plan. I tried both settings in the dimension defaults for rotating with plan and it did not change the direction of the number. I know you can rotate each dimension number manually, but I was wondering if there was a better and faster way to do this. Thanks.

I doubt it can be done automatically. The CAD standard are for vertical dims to be read from the right side of the page.
