ACADuser Posted April 26, 2022 Share Posted April 26, 2022 So here in Florida we are not allowed to have a shower drain below flood elevation. I show a 4" drop shower in the master bath. Yes the drain is below flood elevation but the house floor is 1" above base flood elevation. My contention is that the house would need to flood before the shower drain can receive water from the flood waters. Your thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mtldesigns Posted May 11, 2022 Share Posted May 11, 2022 I have a client in Mexico Beach FL.. doing a addition for her. But she was telling when Michael came in (2019), that her house did not flood (same predicament as what you mentioned) from rising waters, but from the sewer backing up into her house.
