DIYJon
I can do the math, but I thought maybe there was a way in the software. My main living space/kitchen is a rectangle with fully finished dimensions at 34' 6" X 16' 7". One exterior wall is 8" block with a 2.5" interior furred wall with 1/2" drywall (3" total) and the opposite that wall is a load bearing wall at 4 1/2" (3 1/2" studs and 1/2" drywall.) All of the remaining framing in the townhome is 2x3, not including the flat-roof beams (forgive me, I'm learning the terminology if beams isn't correct.) QUESTION: If I draw the rectangle using default wall settings, then change the materials and thicknesses of each wall after the fact, how can I reposition those walls to fit interior dimensions, and how do I measure interior dimensions from the drywall as opposed to from the studs? Solution Kbird1 Posted August 5, 2021 Solution Share Posted August 5, 2021 you can set your Resize About Default temporarily to Inner Surface and also set Temp. dims to uses Surfaces. there is a Series on Videos for doing Remodels that may help too........... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/playlists/120/remodeling.html
