Richard2015 0 Posted December 7, 2020 Question to members as I'm a newbie. I have placed stairs from the basement to the 1st floor, but on top of the first floor the railing has blocked the entry. In other words if you go up to stairs you would have to climb over the rails. LOL Thank you for your help. Richard
solver 1636 Posted December 7, 2020 How did you create the opening in the floor, and railing?
Richard2015 0 Posted December 7, 2020 I have placed the stairs from the basement to the first floor and on the Stairs Information I have selected Lock Bottom and then I click in the Make Best Fit. After the stair got generated I selected the Auto Stairwell and that's it.
solver 1636 Posted December 7, 2020 I've never seen that not work, but there is no magic in the railings. Place a doorway, or change to a Room Divider or whatever works for you. I'd be interested in looking at the plan, if you care to attach it (exit from Chief first).
Dermot 592 Posted December 7, 2020 Did you turn off "Automatic Rail Openings" in the stair specification dialog? If so, then turn it back on or you can manually place a doorway in your railing.
Richard2015 0 Posted December 8, 2020 Dermot thank you so much that did the trick. Have a great day. Richard
