FireflyDesigns
I'm needing to create a grassy courtyard that is completely surrounded by house and covered patio. The house and patio will be on a monolithic slab. How can I go about creating this cutout in the foundation? I've manipulated the room type settings without much luck. I unselected roof and foundation with no luck. Doing open below didn't even cross my mind. I just tried that and unselected roof and it worked! Thank you! missionworks
I am needing to do the same thing. I want to essentially create an outdoor space within my structure, with exterior stucco walls facing in, but CA keeps treating the space like a room. Did this issue ever find a solution? Under the structure tab, by default the floor will be concrete slab, but you can change it to gravel/soil/grass or whatever. Also set your floor elevation to what you want with main floor (-6 for example). Uncheck roof over room and flat ceiling.. and "check floor under this room". You might have to manually draw the foundation or maybe have to delete the slab it might create in this area.
