Shed Dormer Question

Recommended Posts

I have been able to get this dormer really close but not perfect. Is there a simple way to do this?

I drew the dormer walls on the second floor. This is how I have the walls set

It helps to post color screen captures instead of the layout PDF, and to clearly identify the problem.

Also good to know what software you are using. It helps others to have this info in your signature so it's always available. See this topic for a signature how to.

About your question -- is this a single roof plane?

No, they are 3 separate planes. I drew the tall eave wall and the side walls. I then created the rear single roof plane and the two larger front planes connecting them at the ridge. I dragged the two side planes over the side walls. That all seemed to work well. My problem is now getting the shed roof plane to work.

FYI, thanks for the feedback with regards to posting.

Make it a single plane then join the dormer roof.

Have you considered auto building the roof? This is a simple construct that auto builds easily.
