Different wall types...

Thanks for all the good information, everyone.

I am having 2 issues on my building:

1. I'm still trying to make my existing parapet walls work in my church addition plan.  I'm trying to define my walls as a 15 5/8" brick wall that the parapet is made of, then change "Lower Wall if Split by Butting Roof"...but it isn't working.  The lower wall all changes to the new wall type.  The lower wall type should be a block wall inside with a brick veneer.  Am I doing something wrong, or is there a better way to do it?  Obviously when I change materials on the inside of the building, it extends all the way up through the parapet.

2.  When I have a corner with two different wall types meeting, it is hard to make the transition look correct.  Does anyone have a tip that would help me with this?

Did you just edit the Wall Type - or did you create new Wall Type.  This is critical.

Joe- I went in to the wall dialog- copied the wall type to create a new one, renamed it as a parapet brick wall. Does that make sense?
