Oakriverman
Is anyone else having lag when editing in 3D? I just installed the X10 Beta today and am working through the settings. I have adjusted everything in preferences that I know of to no avail... To move a window 3 inches in standard ortho view is taking between 5 and 10 sec. X9 on the same machine(specs below) is 1 to 2 sec. Hardware edge smoothing setting doesn't seem to have an effect on this delay. Everything is optimized for multi-cores. I will say though that I am pleased with the speed at which the camera moves around after the scene is rendered. I would just like to shave a few seconds off when editing in 3D. Thanks! Kbird1
Try turning off Ray Casted Sun Shadows (RCSS) in the Cameras Settings DBX ...they are Ray traced based so can be slow depending on the CPU, ALL 3D cameras now use them by default. Oakriverman
Thanks Mick, but it is still lagging. A color change to a garage door takes even longer - around 15 sec... I'll be falling asleep at my desk if I keep using X10. Think I'll go back to X9 until the official release.
Kbird1
it's these kinds of report T.S./Beta team needs to hear otherwise it may not get Fixed ? it maybe a quadro driver issue for example, which not everyone has?
Oakriverman
Update: Fixed! Went through and prioritized my pc for X10 and it helped a bit. However, I realized that the model I was working in was originated about 3 versions back. I brought up a model created in X9 and it worked like a charm! Kbird1
there are a few issues with old plans brought forward I have found so far.... - the new Header Labels don't show properly if the framing isn't rebuilt - Component lists don't update their description fields if changed to show in the New materials list...
