scottharris Posted January 21, 2018 Share Posted January 21, 2018 Chief Architect discontinued the hardware lock option for the following reasons: -the technology is significantly outdated. It was offered as one of our first security options in the early 1990’s. The software security lock began replacing it about 10 years ago. As of today, more than 99.9% of the customers use the software lock option -the cost for developing a future hardware lock given the outdated technology was significant – to the point where much of the engineering team would have sacrificed new development . The company therefore made the choice that it was best to support only the software lock security model We do apologize to those that have been accustomed to the hardware security option and hope the reasons above help to explain the “why” behind our change. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Or can we have the system your using for the Africa Users without reliable internet? Ether I'm sure could make the hardware lock users want to upgrade? Some users keep saying Chief has gone to only allowing us access 14 day at a time because Chief dose not trust US? In fact they keep stating this point. Is this why the new 14 day frisk?
