Tdgdesign
Am I missing something - seems like it should be easy enough to make a wall invisible in plan view but still show up in 3d....Haven't used CA since v10.09 or something. Using X9 now...
Joe_Carrick
Eric's solution is one way. The downside is that you can't select the wall in the Plan. A second option is to have a wall type that has no fill and all the lines in the wall definition use the "blank" linestyle. It can be selected in both Plan and 3D Both methods have pros and cons. It's up to you to decide which you want to use.
Tdgdesign
Thanks guys, but neither option is going to work for this application. What I really am trying to do is have no wall on the floor but a attic wall above. I have tried and tried placing an attic wall, moving my roof planes, etc but no matter what I do Chief will not generate a cheek wall without it being a full height wall. If I posted the plan and showed you where I'm talking about would either of kind gentleman be up for a look see?
