watercolor line extensions

Any idea why I loose the line extensions around the perimeter of drawing on the watercolor style when printing to pdf from layout.  The extensions show on the layout but go away on the final pdf.  I have tried different pdf dpi settings and they still do not show up.  You would think that the same view from the layout file would get printed.  I have attached a screen shot of my layout screen view and the pdf file after printing to pdf in 144 dpi quality.  Notice the lack of line extensions around the roof.  Seams like the line extensions are on the interior of the drawings like around windows, etc., but lacking around the extreme perimeter.

Dan, while you are in the layout, does the refresh button clean up the lines?

Refresh button does nothing that I can see.  I am wanting to see the line extensions as they show in the layout file in my final pdf.

As a side note, I am curious how you modeled the chinking in your log home?  It appears to exist in the upper sections of the gable but less in the lower areas.  Did you hand-lay the logs or use a material?

@johnny - to me, it looks like the texture scale for the log width and the line fill pattern are not a match. The origin seems to be at the bottom of the house and as the texture fills upward, the misalignment becomes larger. It has the appearance of chinking, but only due to the light and dark tones of the wood texture.
