DCB123 5 Posted January 24, 2017 Chief users; I'm trying to figure out some options for the client for a Roof Style Second Floor Room Addition over a Garage. Please comment with the style that you think would be best, and the steps in CA for creating it? My choice is the traditional style roof picture all the way on the right, or yours please? In addition, I want to create a dutch hip or shed roof over the side garages. Any ideas here? Please find the photos of this project, and the attached plan file in CA X8. Call, or text, or email. Much appreciated! BrownTiger 91 Posted January 24, 2017 It is all in the eyes of beholder. Some people love partial / half pitch, some hate it. It adds a little cost and wind resistance. Partial hip is created by specifying on the gable wall / roof upper pitch. Dutch hip, I create them by adding opening (hole in the ceiling platform ), adding attic wall to go threw the hole and fixing / adding roof planes. 40 seconds tops.
