Robert,, why not simply use a Psolid? And the OP is not clear on what "curved" wall means.. maybe curved in plan view?
-
Terry,
Some Vendor Forums have a section for each version as well as a General section.. There are never "what version are you using?" questions.. A good idea...
My X8 menus here are fine...
As far as the mouse, click the left button and under properties you can adjust the speed.

Christopher,
Well done.. Fully agree with you line weight control still needs to improve.

Google sold Sketchup to Trimble years ago..

Automation holds users captive sometimes because perfection is expected once the word is uttered. Better to accept some things just cannot be automated the way a human would want.. Just delete the feature and spend resources elsewhere...

Might want to check with Support but with Chief Nvidia based cards with the latest drivers is the way to go. Not sure what card you bought...

The wall saved with THAT file... Either you make a template with that file and use THAT template as a basis for new projects.. OR save the wall into the Library THEN every new plan can access it from there in the future..

Having grid snap settings set and ACTUALLY having them active are two different things... Make sure the Grid Snaps icon is active..

Nearly Funny how many were not aware of this... Due to my 2d CAD experience with "fencing" I "lucked" into this hoping it would work and lo and behold!.. been using it a while.. CA is like a treasure hunt sometimes..
Dermot, any chance the selection could be toggled to completely enclosed entities only?..

Glass Opacity and 3D focus.. nice.

Michael,
Doesn't a part of you want to put in a negative number to LOWER the slab?..

"Some" stair improvements???? More!

Perry.. No spikes for you with his file? I use 8x MSAA.. spikes galore.

Thanks Scott.. I am rarely able to help.. Tis the season I guess.. Tried checking Legacy AND Soft... no difference..
So what they did is degrade and call the better shadows "Legacy". Must be the file size as he has lots of furnishings. Of course Chief is shadowing everything rather than just walls. He should setup a Layerset that turns all non-essentials off when doing exterior work.
Ultimately there should not be spikes in the non-Legacy soft.

Alan.. Reboot did not resolve it. The Reset Side Windows did... Didn't know that existed.
Thanks Dermot.

Not sure what is going on.. Click the icon and Chief's Title bark flickers but no ALDO.. I have tried every windows trick for off-screen windows. No luck. Issue not file specific.

Granted Sketchup is a simpler Program but their "live" manual is very slick. Chief's Manual has it's place.. plus you can't "burn" it anymore...
-
Larry,
Thanks... This helped today.!

Thanks Michael...

It's the latest craze
Where?

Does Autodesk own that method? It is as slick and smart as one can get.... I use Datacad and yes complex selections are VERY easy through layers/colors.
But then again, to those at Chief, you should not be using CAD at all... hence the termination of it's development decades ago. But to their credit, in 3D there is much more overlapping of stuff so selection WILL be harder than 2D apps.

Hey Wendy,
I would love to see your videos, but I can't access them.
I am on an iPad and therefore can't use flash player-is there another way to view them?
I usually don't have any troubles viewing vids done with jing and posted to Screencast.
Any ideas?
Glenn,
download the "Puffin" browser app. Its runs flash no problem on any ios device.

Wow... My files typically and less than 20mb and there is always at least 1 one second lag, often longer. Undo's always twice as long. I even draw cabinets as lines to reduce lag. Perhaps AMD not as fast as Intel for same spec CPUs?
A few years back there was a test using a baseline file that could be useful here to compare apples to apples.
