Back in Chief Architect '97, yes 1997, Chief had a full masonry fireplace.  It showed the firebox on the outside of the wall with the fireplace face  and hearth on the inside.  It also built the chimney.

My XKeys are about six years old.  I've never had a problem with them.

I've used them with Photoshop, Lightroom and CA.

It has 50 keys.

You simple need controller software for the Razer.  

On a Mac, ControllerMate is compatible with the Razer DeathAdder, Diamondback 3D, Nostromo, Naga 2014 and Tarantula.

ControllerMate can be programmed to any keyboard shortcut, you just have to make sure the input device is compatible.

I use ControllerMate with XKeys for CA, it works very well. XKeys can be used with Windows.

Since I'm on a Mac, I don't know of compatible software for Windows.

I have Time Machine set up to my Time Capsule and that is actually where I found my User Library, but did not find other libraries in there. 

 

Fyi for everyone, Tech Support wanted to try a few more things to figure out the problem but I had already re-downloaded my Libraries.  If this happens again, I will spend more time back and forth with them to see if we can figure out what causes this.  Hopefully this won't happen again!

My Time Machine also uses Time Capsule.  I just checked, I was able to see my CA Libraries back to Feb, 22, 2014

If you go back and they are not there, it's possible they were not installed properly.  I don't know why.

Open Time Machine now and check to see if they are there.   Give Time Capsule a few seconds to bring them up.

Set up "Time Machine" and back up to an external hard drive.  Time Machine is the best back up system I've ever used and it's part of the OS.

Libraries could be restored using it.

On a Mac the CA Libraries are found using Finder > Choose your hard drive > Library > Application Support > Chief Architect.

It should show Core, Bonus, and Manufacturer Libraries.

I use it on a Mac Pro.  Yes I've had crashes.  I've gotten used to saving, rebooting and re-opening during coffee breaks & lunch.  If you're not using Time Machine, set it up soon.

This spam usually hits on the weekend.  Since many here don't post on the weekends, I'll volunteer to be a weekend monitor.

What happens if you try printing to .PDF?

CA automatically finds the center of the first floor and adds 6", (150mm)  plus the thickness of the floor platform and sill plate.  This is the pad elevation of the terrain.

I thought we were talking about Adobe "Premier" which is Professional video editing software similar to Sony Vegas.

If you're not able to Ray Trace, you're wasting your time trying to enhance a camera view from Chief Architect. 

I use Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS 5.5 to enhance the jpeg and png Ray Traces.

For video I prefer Sony Vegas Pro 12.  

Vegas can combine the use of stills and video.  The possibilities of editing are endless.

The video can be burned to DVD or Blu Ray.  It can also be sent to Utube or Vimeo.

These are professional editing programs.  You may need training to use them.  

Each one has a homeowner version, Sony's video editing would be Movie Studio.

The Sony programs are Windows only, I use them on a Mac via BootCamp and Windows7

Do not install MacKeeper, it may be Malware.

⌥ is Option or Alt

⇧ is Shift

You're right, I wouldn't guaranty paint colors or stains on different species of wood.  Too many variables to consider like reflected light on walls.

I would check you 3D View Defaults first; 3D > 3D View Defaults.  I'm guessing your problem is in CA.

If you want true color in all your software, it's possible to Calibrate a monitor or laptop screen for true color.  You can also calibrate your printer to match the monitor.  I calibrate mine with an X-Rite ColorMunki but I'm into photography.  I mention this just for general information on color.

If it's too large for email, I set it up as an automatic download from my web site.  The file is password protected.
