  1. If the baseline, fascia top are the same but out of symmetric alignment when you join the ridges then the Baseline location must be out of sync with the adjoining roof planes (baselines commonly are located on the outer edge of framing of the walls they bear on.) Check for that.

  2. X 12 is not capable of opening .dwg files created in the 2021 version of AutoCAD. Save the file to an earlier version which can be imported into X12. X13 and X14 can import 2021 Acad files.

  3. An X9 dongle is no longer supported by Chief Inc or the dongle manufacturer, so you best route is to find a current user who might be willing to sell you their dongle to you. You might pursue Chief Sales to see if they might convert your dongle seat to a password instead of a dongle but keep in mind that Chief Inc no longer supports X9 in any way other than library content. My X9 seat runs on a password-no dongle.

  4. I usually create a cross section camera and then using dimension tools to manually align a troublesome landing to stair objects, I know of no  automatic settings relative to landings other than they are programmed to have an general affinity for stairs.

  5. When working with AutoCAD users I send views from the layout page (First floor, Second floor, elevations) and none of them have complained to me about  the files. I do NOT use export "All Floors" as that is too complicated for the AutoCAD user to sort out.

  6. You can create custom library folders in X10 and then place whatever you wish in them. You are merely creating new folders in your User Library that contain whatever you wish in them but in terms of Manufacturer Catalogs they cannot be broken up, piecemeal but you can copy some of their contents by exporting a library or portion thereof and from that create a custom library folder in your User area of the LB.
