  1. Alaskan_son You are my life saver!!!! I spent hours on this and the fix was so simple. Warren
  2. There does seem to be a direct correlation between the text and text box since the only fix is to manually make the text box longer and then everything snaps back into place. I'll pay closer attention to when and it happens and what seems to initiate it. Thanks Thanks Michael. In all the times I've had the Rich Text Specification menu open I've never seen that. My auto height is checked but I'm wondering what CAD Style Font Sizing is. Would this conflict with another Font sizing style?

  4. Hi Joe. I see that you list a 55"? screen in your hardware. Are you using this with Chief Architect. My laptop is natively set to 1920 x 1080 and has a GeForce 940M video card plus an Intel(R) HD Graphics 520.

This works great with my Acer 27" monitor but when I try it with a 32" to 50" 4K TV it looks unreadable especially the text. How do you get proper resolution with the bigger screens.

You have to set the resolution of each monitor in the NVidea control panel.  Some Laptops will not provide a high enough resolution.  It can get a little tricky and you need to make absolutely sure that the Intel Graphics is not being used.  There's a setting in the NVidea Control Panel for PhysX that you should check.

Ahh. I have Chief set to work only with NVidia but I bet I'm using Intel Graphics for my settings. I'll give it a try. You could have made my life so much better!

It will also depend on the cable connection from the computer to the monitor.  Make sure you are using an HDMI cable to the NVidea GPU.  USB will probably be to the mother board GPU and that won't work.

  5. Thx. Maybe time to renew.
  6. Thanks. Will do. I just discovered my SSA has expired so if anyone has any thoughts on fixing this issue that would be great.
  7. I am having a problem with text box sizes shrinking. When I insert text on a Plan or Layout sheet it enters correctly and displays on one continuous line. Later after continuing to work on a document the text box shortens one text character so 'GARAGE' winds up with the 'E' dropping down to the next line as if the 'Enter' key had been pressed. See below. GARAG E I'm not sure when this happens but it seems to be when I go to print the Layout page. The strange thing is that it also changes the Plan page. This is O.K. to manually change by stretching the text box back wider but I'm doing a 62 room hotel and it means a ton of work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Warren
  8. Hi Canuk Answer that works from Jodi at Customer Tech (the part about losing your Library). It sounds like my problem. You probably still had the Library files on your computer, just couldn't see the Library box come up when you clicked on the icon.. Go to <Edit> <Preferences> <Reset Options> at the bottom of box <Reset Side Windows> Bingo...Daddy is happy again Warren v 3.0 - X-6

  10. Hi Joe (Carrick) That is what I did. I closed my plan and layout and then noticed that the library was still open so closed it. Now CA X-6 can't load the library at all. It is there in the Windows Explorer but the link from the CA cannot find it if I start it in View or click on the icon. Any suggestions how to link them again. Thanks Warren v.3 - x-6
