I worked with a draftsmen to get the plans drawn up but it was a very painful and unpleasant process. He had great reviews but the more I look back at it all of the designs he did were very basic rectangular and square houses, nothing with more than 2-4 roof plans. I will work on blocking out all of my personal information on the plans and upload them.

but I worked with another draftsmen to get the plans fixed and that’s when he started building them on Chief Architect and let me know that the roof layout plan was incorrect and it wasn’t right

I know how to build a cricket in real life but not in this application, but after looking at your picture where you have one near the end of the gable soffit i will learn.

You should reach out to this guy for a more complex home style

  2. Now if I could just share the plan with the original post member without sharing all the internals, like details from you and Dan embedded, then that member would be set.

Yes........it's a nice slow day and I was fishing for something to help out with.

  3. There are dials on the meters......

It would be nice to see it the same in chief as in sketchup

I don't do things in render to this level, but the OP probably wants more realism than the OBJ output.

This is why I don't import 3D.  I can just import a static screen shot from SU and it works for me

  4. Yep....sketchup can do this, but exporting it to the correct format would be nice.

I tried OBJ and lost all the resolution.
