  1. I used to run the CAD department and QA/QC of a panel factory and we had our own software. (Walplus from Mitek) No one ever gave us anything that was dimensioned to individual framing members.

    You’re a good man.

The important part is stack framing from a single framing reference so that floor joists, wall studs, and any other items like ceiling joists or rafters are all in alignment so plumbing and other trades can transit vertically without issue.

  2. My new M4 Max ($$) works great.

Apple is finally getting into hardware driven PBR.

I don't need renders but many seem to.

Windows machines are still ahead on that for now,

    Good luck with your choice.

I know you didn't need Design Criteria, but here it is anyway...........it varies slightly by AHJ here (snow loads and seismic mostly)

I worked with a draftsmen to get the plans drawn up but it was a very painful and unpleasant process. He had great reviews but the more I look back at it all of the designs he did were very basic rectangular and square houses, nothing with more than 2-4 roof plans. I will work on blocking out all of my personal information on the plans and upload them.

but I worked with another draftsmen to get the plans fixed and that’s when he started building them on Chief Architect and let me know that the roof layout plan was incorrect and it wasn’t right

I know how to build a cricket in real life but not in this application, but after looking at your picture where you have one near the end of the gable soffit i will learn.

You should reach out to this guy for a more complex home style
