Did you use the Build Foundation tool or the Slab Tool?

That would be a nice option in preferences.......or per object type for the macro masters

If you make changes on a plan out for bid.......don't......unless you send out an updated plan.

Having subs bid plans that are not current can lead to $$$ mistakes

The most used hotkeys start in the bottom left and move outward.

So back in 1989 through 1995 I exclusively framed houses within 150 miles of Houston Texas. Every single set of plans had a small text box on the very first page, cover sheet that had heated space first floor heated space second floor those two numbers added together and then all the unheated space listed as garage, covered porch and the like. 
 

We being lazy framers were caught up in the dollar per square foot game and we were able to look at the very first page and run a quick calculation from those numbers to let the builder know what it would cost for us to frame it. This was when I was a helper and this is how I saw it done.

As I moved on and ran my own show I started to study the plans from the roof down to the foundation and I was able to see where the choke points were and add additional pricing to cover the time. I was no longer a flat rate dollar per square foot Framer.

If they were putting these kinds of numbers on the cover sheet back then, there’s no excuse for that not to be automated and available without having to buy a macro from someone.

I respect and admire the guys that can write macros but some of this stuff should be default in chief itself.

Cool.  I've had this laying around in a "tech" drawer.  I am now trying it out.

It has quite a few buttons.

I’m not in front of my computer but I think you need to right- click the schedule and choose either refresh or re-number from the dialogue drop-down/context menu and it will re-number everything correctly.

Then if you want them in a certain order you can drag each row up or down and that will also re-order the callouts. I could be wrong because I can’t verify but I think that’s how you do it

Standard is what is used for the government taxing purposes.  

Create it in sketchup then import it into chief as a symbol..........but you need EXACT sizes, pitch, and dimensions to make sketchup useful in this instance.

Most called windows are actually ½" smaller both ways than called (48" x 36" is 47 ½" x 35 ½") and the R/O actually is 4-0/3-0

Anderson has some custom sizes....always refer people to the vender literature....

If X18 is featuring files existing on a CA cloud service....I could see an increased charge for that.  I hope it's optional, because I like Dropbox.

2 different 3D exports and one 2D plan view section up 48".  Resize the 2D using the dimensioned 50' wall

DWG exported from Chief.........sure.  It's a mess but NEVER the chief files.  

If you can find a way to share the link to your file where I can download it, I will open it and sketch up and send you back views that can be traced in chief.
