  1. Thanks Joe.

Well, I'm feeling pretty dense because I must be missing something very obvious.  In X5 I remember being able to adjust the frame in the dbx, but in X6 I do not see that option.

This is a .jpg of my dbx.  Under which tab is the option to delete the frame hiding?

  2. Hi,

In the past I've created glass shower doors (in a glass wall) with no trim, but this is the first time I've done it in X6.  There used to be an option in the dbx to shrink the frame around the glass door down to nothing, but I can't seem to locate that option in X6.  Am I missing something or remembering incorrectly?

    Thanks!

  3. I don't suppose there is a work around for inserting another window when using the bay window tool?  I need 2 windows mulled together in the middle of the bay rather than just one large window.

I've drawn this bay from scratch with 2 windows, but thought I'd see if I could use the tool instead.

  4. Hi,

I am working on a master bath with a large bay.  I am drawing it out and have all of my dimensions, yet am struggling to figure out the exact angle of the walls in the bay so that I can get all of the measurements to match (at least close).  Is there a trick to this process?

    Thanks!

  5. I have Time Machine set up to my Time Capsule and that is actually where I found my User Library, but did not find other libraries in there.

Fyi for everyone, Tech Support wanted to try a few more things to figure out the problem but I had already re-downloaded my Libraries.  If this happens again, I will spend more time back and forth with them to see if we can figure out what causes this.  Hopefully this won't happen again!

  6. Thanks.  I have a ticket into tech support and trying to figure out what the problem is.  The libraries had all been working fine for a week and then all of a sudden they were gone.  It's not the filter, I've already checked that.

Another odd behavior happens when I click on the magnifying glass - the list of catalogs disappears completely.

  7. I switched from the pc version to the Mac version of X6 last week so I'm a newbie to all of the subtle differences.

I was working this afternoon with no issues, left for awhile and came back to my plan, clicked on one of my libraries and found that they were all completely empty.  I tried rebooting, but no luck.  Has anyone else had this issue?

  8. Hi,

I just switched our office over from the pc version to the Mac version of X6 Premier and I'm discovering a few of the subtle differences.

On the pc version I could select an object and hold down on the "Control" button to move it where ever I needed to.  Does anyone know which key on the Mac will allow me to do the same?

Also, the scroll bars along the side and bottom are hiding and I can't seem to figure out how to get them to show.  I know this should be an easy answer, but I'm missing it!  Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  9. Our firm has 3 computers with Chief - all in different locations.   We've been using Sugar Sync for several years now with no issues. We have a rule of one person working on the file at a time though.

We use Google Hangout when discussing a Chief file over the phone which has been great.

  10. Hi,

Our firm has 3 remote offices.  I create the layout templates at my office and save them in a file in Chief.  That file, along with our client files are all synced to Sugar Sync for the other two offices to access.  When one of the other offices opens up my layout template, the logo cannot be found.  Why is this?  I have the logo saved in a file that is with the rest of the synced files in Sugar Sync.  Shouldn't the other computers be able to access that when they open up the layout file?

Any thoughts on how I can solve this?

    Thanks,

    Susan

  11. Hi,

Our office has been on Macs with Bootcamp for 4 years now.  We are ready to move to the Mac version of X6.  Couple of questions:

    1.  We will still have one PC.  Will we run into any issues, other than font differences, if we work between the Macs and the PC?

    2.  When switching from the PC to the Mac version of X6, what is the best way to transfer files?  We work with Sugar Sync.  I assume we could download them onto the Mac version via Sugar Sync?

    Thanks,

  12. I'm still finding this full wall to be very unstable and constantly needing to regenerate it with the f12 button every time I open up the plan.  Is there something I'm missing with the settings, like a minimum or maximum distance to set the contraction distance for the winders?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
