  1. I got this response from someone at Cheif Architect tech support: "We do not recommend working over a network as you can experience corruption issues when Dropbox runs a sync while you are working on the plan. "
  2. ditto Kevin; your dropbox folder is on your hard disk of the computer you saved it on. In Windows under users/dropbox. On a Mac look in your Finder window. Should still be there even if the Dropbox cloud pooped out
  3. Thanks for sharing this. I have a 1976 version of this book which i got in trade school back then. I still reference it once in a while to help me brainstorm.
  4. This is brilliant! Haven't put it to practical use yet but will definitely be playing with it! Thanks for sharing this
  5. Ok so i've been playing with this but I can seem to find how to "Unlock the "Roofs, Gutters" Layer in a Perspective Overview". If you have a chance I woundn't mind a tip thanks
  6. I'm still trying to work this out...how do you select the gutter?
  7. got it! I'll delete the gutters and draw them as moldings wherever I want them
  8. How can I assign gutters to some eaves but not others on same roof plane. I'm setting up existing for a reno. as you can see from the photos the dormer is on the same roof plan but has no gutters. Any hints?
  9. Thanks guys! "pull wall back" idea wasn't cooperating because one side of the wall is a 20' high room and the other side of the wall is divided into two floors. I cheated the system and created a super thin wall that meets in the centre of the two window. We can deal with it properly at the time of construction but for now I just have to develop the visual concept. Thanks again for your quick response!
  10. Question: is there any way to allow window to span across an intersecting wall? I have run into this a couple of times when drawing existing situations and now am actually trying to draw this for a commercial building.
  11. I guess Chief should get with the times because LED's are coming fast
