I do not understand how to use the function shown below.  I enter the dimension value I want and click on move object. Then the line I want to move and it moves the entire object??  

Thank you Jon.  You saved me alot of frustration. I appreciate it!  I have been using 9.5 for the last 10 years and am trying to get used to where things are in X6.

Check out "Edit -Preferences-Library Browser" for starters. A lot of things function or not based on settings there.

I have been using the program and accessing the library.  Suddenly I cannot access my library using the library browser tool button??  Using X-6

Help...

I'd make the wings a single level and raise the ceiling/roof.

For a start, you need to build the roofs correctly.

It looks like you have built them manually.

The central higher roofs run straight through under the side roofs - wrong. 

These roofs will always look wrong from inside.

I suggest that you use the auto roof builder and uncheck Ceiling Over This Room.

I tried this and have posted a picture of the results.

I started a new project with 2 different roof elevations, all cathedral ceilings and a loft in the center (taller) structure.  I cannot get ceilings to open up for cathedral effect in the 2 attached wings??

Dennis, thanks for your suggestions.  Attached is a ray trace (high quality with photons turned off), which made the light at the top of the cabinets disappear.  I still can't figure out why the stainless steel appliances are black?

Hi, I took the plunge and upgraded from 9.54 to X6.  Any tips on ray tracing techniques would be appreciated.  I ran (2) separate interior images.  One for an hr. inside high quality and one ten minutes inside high quality.  I did not see much difference?
