Thanks unfortunately selecting the drawing group doesn’t work for the copied group of chairs. I was able to get the table in front of all the other single and grouped chairs just not the copied group. Restarted my computer, ungrouped all the copied group chairs and it still doesn’t work. I must be missing something.

When I select the View Draw Order Edit button the tools are not populating as it shows in this video. I'm using X8. I created a table and added two end chairs and then added a group of three side chairs, copied the side chair group, reflected about the table. Unfortunately unlike all the other chairs the copied group of chairs I can't get to show under the table in plan view. After watching the above video I realized in x8 I've never seen this group of tools populate when selecting the View Draw Order Edit button giving me other options. Grateful for your support.

Joe - Thank you! This is what I came up with. While it's not perfect, it gives me the option to adjust the shelves for each unit. I used the Wire Mesh material in X8 and assigned that to the whole cabinet. I added a counter top the same thickness as the shelves and made it Wire Mesh.

Unfortunately with X8 I get this error message when opening the file: The library "/var/folders/rb/0cc6pmsn3h3cjcvgyfqgnq300000gn/T/ChiefTemp_703900090_WireShelf_0.calib" has an invalid version number and can not be read. Changes made to the library will not be saved during this session. Grateful for you!

Hello Chieftain's,I'm working on a space planning project and I need to create this shelving unit so I can adjust the shelf location on each unit to hold different items. What is the best way to do this? I tried creating a base cabinet but I could not figure out how to get the shelving to show as wire shelving. I have the five shelf version of this in the library but I don't see the option to explode it so I can add another shelf and adjust the shelves to different heights. Thank you so much , I'll review, unfortunately I don't have $6,850 to invest in CA X-14, it would require a CA license upgrade and my current Macbook Pro would not run X14 very efficiently, so I would need to buy a new one.

Hoping there are still some users here using CA X-8 and could assist. I have tried to create a pony wall using the interior wall and then opening the Wall Specification and changing the wall type to Pony Wall, I make the Lower Wall Type: Interior 4 and the Upper Wall Type: Glass Shower. My dilemma is resizing the height of each Pony Wall. Is there a way to do this in CA X8? I really need the wall to be a wall so the materials will calculate correctly and it makes it much easier to draw out the wall versus using CAD tools or the soffit tool. Here is an image of what I'm trying to recreate - the only difference is I don't wan't the glass to go to the ceiling (it needs to be 54" tall with lower wall 42"). Appreciate any advice anyone may be able to offer.

I find with my Macbook that I need to paste all text copied from a website into text edit and then copy from text edit and paste into the software program I am using. It eliminates a ton of issues for me. Curious how your Macbook is performing, thinking about getting a new MBP but I just hate that CA doesn't support Ray Trace on a MBP. I love this feature and feel it is necessary to help a client visual themselves in the room. It makes our business look like the top professional in our area. I despise PC - the Mac ecosystem is the best. Would LOVE to see what a 3D image looks like on your new MBP.

Chieftans, I need to add a covered deck to the front of this plan with a mansard curved roof. It is attached to a full gable one a half story wall. I can not get it to work. I've attached the plan if you would like to look at it. Without the deck drawn I 'build roof' and ignore second floor and get a perfect gable wall with 10 - 12 pitch on the roof. As soon as I add the deck and add in the wall criteria for the mansard pitch and 'build roof' I get this horrible roof configuration. See images. Would LOVE to know what I'm doing wrong. I have used a cylinder and made 4x4 post to show where existing posts are in a basement. I want to move them to exact location they are from the exterior walls. I am completely perplexed as to how to do this. I've tried using end to end dimension but when I click the cylinder and hover over the end to end dimension my cursor won't change so I can manually enter the dimension. Any thoughts anyone?

Thank you David. I went to the second floor added a wall to define the living area and then selected the room definition as 'open below'. Now in full camera view from the first floor I see the sky. Is there another way to remove the second floor and keep the roof? Grateful,

Hey Chiefs, I'm working on an existing home one and half story plan. The living room is a cathedral ceiling, I have unchecked the box 'ceiling over this room' - yet in full camera view it still shows the ceiling over the room. I'm sure I'm missing a simple vital step but I'm not certain what it is. I've attached the plan for anyone eager and more intelligent than I to figure this out. I'm working on a plan with an arched door but I need it to be a dutch door. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to modify an arch door. I inserted a Therma-Tru Classic_CraftRustic_CCR100R NoGlass door but I don't see anyway to make it a dutch door. Any guidance is appreciated. Grateful for all of you!
