  10. Hip roof with a 10/12 on the sides and 8/12 on the front and back; this is my process: set my roof specs for 10/12 draw all roof planes select the front plane, open dialogue box, lock frieze height and change the pitch to 8/12 repeat for back plane join roof plane sides join front to back roof plane then finish with the sides I tried setting the pitch in the wall dialogue box under the roof tab, but that did NOT change the pitch from default. I'm unable to join frieze boards. Thanks, Bob roof plan.pdf

  13. I'm just starting to become comfortable with manual roofs, but a roof over a front entry porch has me stymied. I'm using a Slab & footing for the front porch and added "attic" walls for the gable; however, I have several issues: I can't show a roof return, which is selected in the dialogue box the frieze boarded does not show on the portion over the room but does over the porch no ceiling in the porch Initially I tried creating a deck but that posed other issues. Can someone please point me in the correct direction for creating a covered entry. Thanks in advance. Bob
  14. Click "Explode CAD Block" on the bottom tool bar.
  15. I'm a Mac guy so I'm unable to import .skp files. I've never used Sketchup in Chief before. I would VERY much appreciate it if someone could convert these 4 files for me. Thanks in advance, Bob 4 skp files.zip
  16. What hardware are you using? Mac or PC, processor, memory, video card, etc.
  17. I have been doing that but the roof outline does not shoe in perspective.
  18. Thank you gentleman, doesn't get much easier than that.
  19. Can I use a "fill" instead of shingle material. The shingles are just too distracting in exterior elevations and perspective views. I've been using a white "color" but it doesn't work well especially in perspective, no outlines. There has to be an easier way - I hope. Thanks in advance, Bob
  20. I have full stone siding on the gable ends and I'd like to run the stone around the rest of the house just below the window, with clapboards above. I have not a glue. Thanking you all in advance, Bob
