I doubt it is supported in current versions of CA since Adobe killed Flash player several years ago.

Changing the Roof Group in the room specification for the covered patio should work too.

Bring gpx file for terrain data into chief architect
Flash691 replied to adoConstruction's topic in General Q & A
I didn't see any way to bring in a kml file. I used an online converter (https://tool-online.com/en/convert-to-dxf.php) to convert my kml file to DXF which I then import as elevation data.- 2 replies

Try using %wall_type.split(" ")[1]% If your wall type is always formatted as shown, using split(" ") will create an array with each word separated by the space. Then the "[1]" selects the item from the array which starts at 0. If the formatting stays the same, this will extract the second part regardless of length.

It's the CSS file that formats this website's pages for different web browser's screen width. You'll see the same thing happen if you narrow your desktop browser's window. At a certain width the page layout changes for better viewing on a narrow screen.

@GeneDavisYes, I agree with your conclusion to work with whichever method gives you the results you want for your particular model. I'm not a rendering expert like @Renerabbitt by any means. Here's some comparisons rendered on my system. I haven't spent much time testing the different render settings available for CPU_RT or RTRT. I posted images of the settings I used at the end. 1. RTRT with only the spotlight on. 2. CPU_RT with only spotlight on. 3. RTRT with only point source light on. 4. CPU_RT with only point source light on. 5. RTRT with both lights on. 6. CPU_RT with both lights on. The are the settings for RTRT CPU_RT settings: RTRT took about 3-4 seconds to render at 3008X1940px using an RTX4090 GPU. CPU_RT for 10 passes took about 3-4 minutes at 1500X967px on 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz CPU.

I was having the same issue until I watched his video again. That's when I noticed at the very end, he went in to the "Adjust Lights" menu. It's on his toolbar, but you may need to click the light bulb icon and then Adjust Lights on the left side toolbar. Do this while in camera view. CA defaults to 20 lights on which is easily covered in a couple rope lights. Select "Light set" from lighting mode and then all the lights you want illuminated and click done.

I'm looking to meet CA users located in the Marianna, Florida area that may be interested in working on a new residential construction project. Thanks, Robbie

Thank you! In the future I'll figure out how to tag people. I was thinking(hoping) it was like Sketchup where the functions were all listed with icons and worst case, I'd have to build my own radial menus.

I've got an old Space Mouse and a new CAD Mouse pro I wanted to use with CA like I've seen in Rabbit Design's videos. When I try to set up my mouse menu's, I don't have the menu items. I get ChiefArchitech category, but it only shows 3D view options. The Radial Menus section only has the standard 3DConnexion options. I've tried reinstalling both CA and the latest mouse drivers. Other applications have different Radial Menus. Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks,
