I am creating a deck material list and trying to get all of my hardware to show up in the material list. I added some joist hangers and they show up in the hardware but I also added a "girder" hanger HUC210 and it doesn't show up. I've got every category in the Material List Specification selected. I'm a newbie and may be adding the hanger incorrectly. Any ideas?

Is there a way to add the screws to the deck planks so when I generate the deck material list it will generate the deck screws as well?

Hello I am trying to learn the material list and all her glory and have a pretty simple question. I've got a 2x10x30 highlighted below. The max length I'd like these to go is 16'. I don't have a 2x10x30 available in the strucutural member defaults. Is there a way to set this to it won't use a 30' board there or should I "install" the boards at the correct length when drawing the framing? Thank you in advance! Tanya

Thank you for that info. I do have that option unchecked and am still unable to adjust the default size of the rail. I'm in the Deck Railing Defaults. I was able to open the stair defaults and make these changes to the railing there but not for my deck railing.

Good morning, I am trying to make my material list as accurate as possible and would like some assitance modifing default deck railing. I'd like to make the middle and bottom rails 3 1/2" wide and make it all treated. Is there a way to do this without creating a new railing?

I am working on a deck plan and am needing some help with the terrain. I've zipped the plan and attached it below. I'd like the terrain to look like the following picture. I'm thinking the deck floor is 0. The floor below is -40" and goes to -120". I thought I set the terrain to show that but it's not working like I expected. Hi Chief fam, I'm trying to put a roof over a deck that is next to a bedroom. The bd roof is a gable and I'd like to add a not touching shed roof over the deck. When I add the roof to the deck it connects to the roof over the bedroom creating one roof even if I leave many feet between them or it deletes the roof over the deck and only puts a roof over the bedroom.
