  1. Good day,

Unless I am missing it somewhere beyond the online searches and CA X15 Door Specifications, I can not find how to apply door hardware to 'BOTH' bypass doors.

I was going to use the rectangular pocket door handle, since there does not appear to be a round cup pull.  Which is fine.

How can this be done please?

    Thank you in advance! :D

  2. Here is the answer to solve this uneven soffit plane for a roof with a cantilever.  In this instance there is a 4' cantilever around the home and this area at the porch was not showing fully the same cantilever plane.

To extend this cantilever to fully enclose this porch area soffit to be flush, you will need to adjust the boxed eave setting on the roof plane where you are seeing the issue.

    To do so:
    1. Open the roof plane specification for the 'roof plane' where you are seeing this issue. (in this instance, it was above the porch)
    2. Go to the Options panel
    3. Uncheck Flush Eave
    4. Uncheck 'Default to Overhang' and change to 140”. (See the attached images showing how this came to be 140" for this specific roof plane area)

Your cantilever should now span the entire area.

Hope this may help somebody in the future :D

  3. Good day,

Might there be a way to adjust the truss cantilever for an irregular shaped exterior wall.

Please see the attached images of different views.

Unless I am missing something, I don't see within the 'Rood Plane Specifications' dialog and option to modify that.

Since it is a Cantilever, it is the same plane as the interior ceiling.

    Any help would be Appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance! :D

  4. Good day,

Working on creating a Privacy Wall 5' high with post legs at the bottom essentially lifting the privacy wall up 6" off grade.

Going through the "Railing Specs", I can not seem to extend the post (newel) legs below the wall.

Might there be a way to do this?  Or should it be created another way?

    Here is what was done:

      Railing Specs:

         General)  Railing

         Wall Type)  Interior Railing

         Wall Cap)  8-1/2 x 1-1/2

Rail Style)  Specify Railing - Solid

                           Newels/Posts - Post to Rail

         Newels/Balusters)  Railing Height - 60"

                                        Newel/Posts Width - 5-1/2"

                                        Spacing - 60"

                                        Type - Square

    Thanks so much in advance!

  5. Good day,

I've gone through what I thought are the "Advanced Sizing for Stretch Planes" for the:

ZLine ALP10WL-30 Ducted Wall Mount Range Hood to no avail nor success.

I do not want to change the size or distort the hood, rather only stretch the vent.

My goal is to stretch to ceiling.

I've included an image of the Advanced Sizing -

Might there be a wealth of wisdom on this worth sharing?

    Thanks in Advance - Drew

  6. Good day,

I can not seem to get an appliance to get "tucked in" or "recess fully" into a cabinet.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Going through the Cabinet Dialog
    2. Choosing the "Front/Sides/Back"
    3. Choose a door and change to "Appliance" from the "Item Type" drop down
    4. Change "Item Height" to specific Height
    5. Choose "Lock from Auto-Resize"
    6. Go to Appliance/Door/Drawer and "Specify", then type in item # (in this case DYWS4)

The chosen appliance (DYWS4) dimensions have been changed to be that of the actual product.

The opening has even been made larger (just in case) and no changes, so it was changed back

The four images shows what it looks like in different view angles.  However the overview blueprint shows it "in the cabinet".  Hmmmm

So....Just trying to figure out how to get this Wine Dispenser to fit "in" the cabinet.

Thank you in advance to all you smart ones :D -  Drew

  7. Good day all,

I like the illustration used in the Chief Architect 'Bachelor-View' Layout showing the various materials.

I've attached a screenshot of the image.

I can create something similar, however I'm trying to get it to the Layout with what appears to be a transparent background.

Maybe I'm thinking too hard about this and there is a simpler way?

Looking for a great way to accomplish this.

    Thank you in advance :)
