  5. You might try the Chief Architect video play list "Introductory Training". There are several other playlists to help (they are in a drop down list on the right side of the webpage)
  6. You might try turning off shadows with Watercolor (preferences, render setting). In this sample plan, they are off. Another trick, since glass is not opaque in Watercolor, I put a slab behind the window, and painted it white to get an opaque look.
  7. Leica's new $149 Disto(E7100i) seems to work well for basic functions; it has Bluetooth and will work with Room Planner 3.0 due out in the near future.
  8. The 16.2.0.47 update is now available. Release Notes can be found below chief-architect-16.2.0.47-update-notes.pdf
  9. I'm not sure I fully understand your question. The X6 Premier will not be able to Save As an older version, so the files will not open in X5. If this doesn't answer your question please call our sales department to discuss it further as well as your upgrade options. 800-482-4433 M-F 6am-5pm PT

  12. Chief Architect has launched a new user forum replacing our legacy ChiefTalk forum. We will refer to the new forum as ChiefTalk. To post to the new ChiefTalk forum, you will need to sign up for a new user handle. Why a new ChiefTalk forum? A couple of reasons really. First, we are consolidating our login systems so you will only need one login for all Chief Architect properties. Currently, we have a separate login for your account, ChiefTalk and our support system, it’s time to fix that. Second, our current ChiefTalk has legacy information dating back to the 90s. While we could clean up this old data, our older forum technology makes that a time-consuming process. So, we have chosen a new forum technology that is more flexible and eventually will offer more features. What will happen to the legacy chief talk forum? You can continue to post new threads on the legacy ChiefTalk forum until the end of February. And, you will be able to read and search the legacy ChiefTalk forum through the end of 2014. If you want to migrate a thread from the legacy forum to the new ChiefTalk forum you can copy and paste between the two forums. Sign up for a new user handle.
