Yeah, sorry can't help you there.  Boy, seems like it would be nice if Chief would create the block border to fit the symbol rather than just making a big rectangle.

Open the Symbol (not with the regular "Open" tool, but with the "Open Symbol" tool), then go to options and change the Special Placement to "None".

Then draw your elipse to the shape of the tub and convert it to a hole.

No, I changed the PITCH over the garage to 12/12, and the PITCH over the house to 14/12.

The reason for the difference is so that the main house ridge line would be over the garage ridge line.  If they were both 12/12 then the garage would stick over the house and you would have a goofy "Witches Hat" or "Dog Ear" or whatever they call those things.

Yeah, I agree.  The perspective looks much better.

Ok, after looking at it a little more...here's what I came up with.

Make sure you place a Sun (draw a north arrow and then draw a sun arrow.  These can both be found under the plain 'ol CAD>Lines menu).

Then if you open up the Sun and go to "Lighting Data" on the left, under that you'll see "Cast Shadows".  Uncheck that, and do your 3D view again.

From there you can run your raytrace.

See attached results...I didn't setup my materials or raytrace very well, but you get the idea.

My pictures are just 3D Perspective/Orthographic Floor Overviews...probably not much gained by going with an actual raytrace.

If you want straight on do the "Orthographic Floor Overview", and then change the render style to "Standard"...

Again...see attached.

Just simply do a 3D overview, and do a Final View (without shadows).

If you want shadows just do a Final View w/Shadows.

I downloaded your plan, adjusted the pitches on the roof to be higher so that you can actually put a room-in-attic, and then raised everything about 1'.

I did also change your attic walls so they weren't pony walls.  You get really weird results if you have pony walls for attic walls.  I also did some general cleaning up of your plan (i.e. straightened walls, changed interior walls to 2x4, etc...)

Here's the revised with split landing.

Tread height was 7.4375, so turn off automatic heights on the landings and set one to be 7.4375 lower than the other.  Then adjust the steps so that you get the same riser height, which ended up taking one step out of the first flight of stairs.

Have you tried looking at Chief's Bonus 3D plant library's?...I'm fairly certain they have a whole library dedicated to 3D plants...

I'm guessing it has something to do with the scale of that texture.  Looks like on the faucet you have a scale of 25mmx25mm, and on the light you have a scale of 500mmx500mm.

I would try playing with the scale a bit and see if that helps at all.

It could also have something to do with the way that the lamp is modeled as well...

Hmmmm....weird.  I was able to replicate the same issue.

Not really sure what to tell you...because even pulling a cross section and dragging the wall down doesn't fix it.

Ceiling planes work similar to roofs, you have to set the baseline and then click to set the ridge.
