HI Not sure how to go about this but here is the clients wish list.. - Build a garage 24 x 24 with 9ft ceiling - Build an in-law suite 16' x 24' above the garage with 8' ceiling - Exterior entrance to in law suite I'm pretty sure in order to do this I have to have the exterior walls of the 16' x 24' room extend through the roof on one side in order to have an exterior entrance. but I'm thinking this will be off center Attached is an exterior image example from google search ( only interested in the attic area ) of how I think it will look will work unless you have other suggestions which would be greatly appreciated.. I've never been asked to design this before Cheers Levina Attached is garage plans with attic. i don't see how its possible to have a livable space in the attic (ie) kitchen living room bathroom etc at a comfortable height with 16 x 24 floor plan. knee walls are not very high .. I just need to know it is doable .. with the plan staying within the confines of the roof/attic All your responses and suggestions have been appreciated but I cant seem to get it thanks in advance I've built a 2nd floor 16 x 24 over the 24 x 24 garage - can I get this look. ? as shown -- without the guys in the front GARAGEPLANDRAWINGS Brady.pdf

Hi I'm building this house from the clients PDF plans for rendering ..I built the auto roof with gables where indicated on the plan Is my roof plan close to the roof schematic sent to me by the client : should I build the roof planes and then join or try to adjust based on auto roof rebuild Which is the best way to get the roof corrected to meet the PDF schematic.. Thanks Levina

Yes I've used transform replicate tool many times especially for roof planes . Just didn't know the abbreviation but not the Z moving.. That's why I love this forum.. I learn so much from more experienced users Thanks a heap

,, don't mean to sound like a %&%&% but define TNR and Z direction????

I have the roof completed now thanks. had already imported the floor plan and built to scale - was having difficulty with the roof - usually when a client sends me the house plans it includes the roof planes and overhead view Thanks for getting back to me Cheers ( from another canuk

Hi I'm rendering a house plan for a client with sloped roofs. very low pitches 1.5 and 3.5 Attached is the PDF showing the roof schematic as well as the roof elevations, (looks like center area may be a gable as opposed to sloped .) 3D Roof.pdf I am assuming I would generate this style of roof as in the help videos by starting with a gable and go from there. However I'm not sure of the actual height as there are no pole elevations. Can someone tell me how I can determine the height so it looks correct in the rendering . I have the house built sans the roof - just looking for some direction before I start Cheers Levina

I figured as much - didn't think it was rendered in CA. is Lumion or twin motion worth the investment?
