When I opened the Template "ProfileM.plan" supplied with CAX7, The label shows with no separation space when you use the Height Macro. However with the auto label, the space shows up ! Dont know where the format is driven from.
I am working on a traditionally detailed Gambrel style house with a 2 car garage addition and loft area above. What is the trick to get the Frieze molding to automatically generate to the corners of the structure?
Thanks

Good Morning
I am working on a remodel on a house with many different floor elevations. Once I had the existing entry set, the new rooms I add tend to jump to the legacy floor elevation.
I was wondering if there was a macro that would fill the room based on meeting certain floor elevation criteria. I am currently using the text macro to show the floor elevation which is super but a bit distracting to have the text box in each room.
Please find the attached plan and orig blueprint section.
Thanks

Thanks for everyone's help ! Great "out of the box" thinking !! The curtain method has to be the mother lode of the infamous workarounds. Too bad the you cannot add the curtain symbol to doorways. but the method will save a ton of time to get accurate renderings while the design process continues.
Thanks again

I am entering an existing house for an extensive remodel. It is an old farm estate that has a rather unique window and door trim. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to create the trim without extensive molding lines on every opening?
Thanks !
I downloaded X7 in anticipation of using it ASAP however I am waiting for my team to get the download as well before using it exclusively.
Now when I jump into a plan through X6 I am noticing a couple of errors that are occurring even though I have never opened the plan in X7
Most notably - Text Size - All of my "title page disclaimer" text boxes are all now much larger than before. Did X7 come with a new Chief Blueprint Font ?
Also there seems to be a problem with poly line solids that jump from their original position.
Anyone else having these problems?

Is there a way to change the auto roof return roof material independently of the main roof material? (i.e. Main Roof is Asphalt, Returns are Copper)
If not is there a way "explode" the return so it operates as its own plane?
Thanks !!

Good Afternoon...
Looking to tighten up some dormer walls in the Master Bedroom on the second floor.
1) The walls that flank the cabinets need to only be 25" deep and then become "roof cuts walls at bottom"
2) On the exterior, the wall are switching to the "lower wall at roof butting" but the angle of the material does not match the roof plane and occurs 3" above the roof surface....weird.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Scott .
I cannot get the attic truss to build. It keeps coming up with a "no middle ceiling......" error.
If you open CAD detail Elevation 5 that is what I am looking for. It has the truss designer stymied. He keeps wanting to pull the attic floor up to the top of wall ht. In truss terms I am looking for an attic truss with a 36" energy heel.
Needing a little help getting an attic truss to generate over a garage.....
I need the garage ceiling to be 8'6" (5" Curb and 8'precuts +/-) then an attic area with an 8'6" ht from floor to "ridge".
The result is a knee wall ht of about 36" at the eave walls.
Thanks in advance for your help !
