Don, I haven't noticed anything running slower or at least slow enough to catch my attention. Can you be a little more specific on what's going slower? As mentioned, I'll be watching the program a little closer today.

Pretty much across the board with all DBXs and any kind of view other than plan view.  It may have nothing to do with Chief, but whatever it might be, it coincided with the last update. No crashes or hangs; just some slowdown. I'll be interested to hear your observation.

  2. Many notes in Library>Core Catalog>CAD Blocks>Designer Blocks>Notes and Legends. Great place to start, though you may have to explode and edit them to wind up with what you want. Once you do, create a Block and save it to your User Library for future use.

No crashes, but generally much slower. You can tell when your habitual mouse clicks out pace the program. Takes me about 3-4 seconds just to open a door dbx and about the same to close it, even with no editing.

EDIT: 10-20 seconds to open a door dbx on a fairly small model. Although, how would I know if its related to the update...

Agreed!  Overall slower even with "small" plans and simple tasks.

  4. Possibly create a 25-1/2", frameless dishwasher cabinet?  Dishwasher will slide in, "cabinet" stays in tact and you have control over both labels. Dishwasher "cabinets" (really just 2 sides) are sometimes used for "orphaned", stand-alone dishwashers. Just a thought.

That works great when there's an extension to modify, but when the extension isn't even there, dragging it is pointless. A non-existent extension line doesn't show up by editing the extension line as one would think. It just stays non-existent.

Yes, now I see what you mean. I'm able to edit the interior wall extension, but not the exterior.

Really? I guess I was overdoing things.

You could try to copy and paste into the Open Below Room, and in the object DBX change the "Absolute" elevation to 0. The object should remain visible in plan, but not in elevation. You will, however, now have two couches in the same place on floor 1.

Stem wall changes from 104 7/8 inches to 116 3/8"

Any attempt to adjust this only changed other heights

    any suggestions?

Maybe try again with "Lock Floor Top" checked?
