  1. Jenny - NO you are in the wrong place.  Click on the symbol.  The bar will appear that allows you to open the "object" but one in from that to the right is the open symbol icon.  Open the symbol and go down to the rotate option and enter the degrees there.  YOu will see it adjust.  YOU just have to figure out the exact degrees to match the rafter/ceiling slope.

  2. The big advantage to using Chief Premier is the ability to do layouts. Sending elevations and screen shots to a layout sheet. Good for general construction as well as kitchens etc.  I don't think layouts are available in the other versions but please verify as I have not checked in a long time.

I do all remodeling work and I think Chief is an excellent product for that application.

  3. AAYCCC,

I am confused.  The text says cabinet door but the picture attached seems to be a entry door.  That is why I responded as I did.  Me thinks you really meant cabinet as they are not customizable via a dbx like regular doors.  ( Why I don't know.  I have requested that)  I pull no weight with CA however.

I think OT will have the answer.

  4. change door type to glass, adjust the number of lites and the bottom tail in the dbx  It won't give you the raised panel but you could use a cabinet door sized to your liking and drag it into place adjusting as needed. Here it is without the panel.

  5. In X6 whenever I save and close on ray trace settings it replaces the previous settings instead of creating a new set of settings. In X5 I could have several different named settings. What happened? or is this only me?

Also- when I tile windows there is no option to maximize one of the tiled windows which I sometimes want to do. IS this Windows or CA controlling this?

ALso, can we have word wrap for this forum?

  6. Tom - For interiors pay attention to what BArton suggested regarding the ambient light setting. I find that in some situations I need to crank up the ambient light. It looks too bright in standard render but when ray traces the results are much better. There can also be a big sifference when using photons versus not using photons. Play around with trying it with small screen sizes (another setting) to get a quicker peek.

  7. BINGO! Thanks Kilgore. How did that get checked?? Default with update? I have never used that setting in the past so was not looking for it. I was looking for something UNCHECKED! Just shows to go ya........

Note: Not all problems require the plan.

  8. OK, got it working. WHen talking to TS for some reason I clicked the maximize button and the screen increased slightly and the status text displayed. Closed the view and redid and all was OK. So, why was the camera view not maximized on a freshly opened plan and camera view? TS said it is the default. Oh well. At least I got it fixed.

  9. Anyone have a symbol for a crystal chandelier? Can't find it on 3D wharehouse and can't seem to search the old CT forum. I think I saw one posted about a year ago or so but.....Owner wants to keep one she has in the

bathroom so I am trying to somewhat match it.
