  1. View in Chief Architect’s 3D Viewer. I copied the 3d model link above that I provided, but when pasting it here it changed. Not sure It will come through correctly.
  2. No symbols that I haven't used before. Would stone faced materials cause a problem?
  3. I am using x9 Premier. The client is just using the online 3d viewer
  4. I recently sent an uploaded 3d model to my account for a client to view. I have done this many times for clients. This is the first time someone has not been able to view the model. The client has a MacPro OS Apple laptop (mid 2015) computer. The Safari version is 11.0.1. I tried removing plants from the model and reloading without success. The surface count on the model is below the suggested 500,000 (347,000 I think) and below 50Mb (38.46) texture size. I am able to load the model on another computer at work. Anyone have any suggestions?
  5. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I'll try to keep this in the back of my mind for the future.
  6. Here you go - no judging! I am still learning chief. Church Addition .plan Offending deck is on the right side of plan near middle. Viewing may be a little difficult. I work with black background and high contrast colors because of poor eyesight.
  7. That was the first thing I tried, sorry if I wasn't clear. Here is the offending wall. Looks good when I select it when I hit tab that is when I get the edit handles that are above the return but I can't move it down
  8. That was the first thing I tried, sorry if I wasn't clear.
  9. I also tried making the wall invisible. Didn't work
  10. Anyone encounter this on their full auto roof return? - I have lowered the ceiling height of the open deck to see if that would cause the issue (even though I have ceiling unchecked) - I pulled back the railing connection to the face of the exterior wall - I tried pulling the top handles of the railing down, but it wouldn't let me move them down - I tried removing the roof return and then putting it back on. It was good before, but I moved the deck edge four feet to the right and when I pulled up the overview I noticed it split the auto roof return. I checked to make sure there are no attic walls above the railing that are causing this. Not sure if I am missing something or just need to draw it manually.
  11. There is probably something I am doing wrong here - I am trying to place recessed soffit lights in a gable end roof overhang, but it keeps forcing it to a small roof below. (See pic). I tried moving the lower roof away from the wall. It places them correctly then, but when I move the lower roof back into place they drop back down. I tried grouping the lights before moving the lower roof back - that works for a while, but I think when it rebuilds (F12) it shoves them back down. Anyone else have this problem? Or is it just my inexperience with this program?
  12. Thanks for your input guys. I make it work, it's just that I have been using letters for my windows for the last 12 years on my cad program. Just a creature of habit, I guess. The window label with the superscript is that a custom text macro? Would that work with Doors as well?
  13. Is there any way to change automatic window callout labels from numbers (01,02,03) to letters? (A,B,C,D...) I use different callout shapes for windows, doors, headers, posts, etc. - I understand you can use a prefix letter such as W01... or D01.... but I think it causes the "readable" callout label to be too large for the plans. Another similar question, is there any way to eliminate the preceding 0 to single digit numbers? (01,02,03...)
  14. I think both times it happened, I was adding created objects or cad details I had modified back to the library as the same name. For instance this last time I modified a footing detail I have and added it back to the library. I got a warning about the block having the same name. (See attached) I think I selected yes to replace the items. I had two different blocks with the same name. The new one was fine but the old one, I couldn't move, delete, rename, or export without getting an error message. I tried to duplicate what I thought was the problem this morning, but didn't get the same result.
  15. I was able to export all but the one sub folder that had the corrupted item in it. There were less than ten objects in it, so I didn't lose that much. I will definitely make a habit of backing it up from now on. Thanks for the input everyone.
  16. I tried to export all but that file, but it crashes the program. I had customer support fix it for me last time, but I had to rename and delete the entire library and import their library they had with the corrupted file removed. They were able to keep all my other items, but it just seems like there should be a way to find the file myself in windows file explorer to remove just that item.
  17. Is there any way to access individual user created library items outside of chief to delete corrupted files? I have a detail I added to the library, but I changed some things and added it back to the library with the same name. The new one is good but the old one, every time I click on it, I get an error message. I can't delete it inside chief so I was hoping I could delete it some other way. Any help would be appreciated.
