GLOBE-Res
I'm using version 9.5. I'm trying to use a scanned jpeg for a floor plan by scaling the jpeg ( there are known dimensions ) and then rotating the jpeg. For some reason the jpeg won't rotate other than 90 degrees. Is there any thing I can do to get this to rotate something other than 90?
Alaskan_Son
Not sure...works for me.
GLOBE-Res
Mike are you using v9.5?
GLOBE-Res
I just dropped in another jpeg and it will only rotate 90 degrees?
Alaskan_Son
No. Sorry. Just wanted to get the ball rolling by ruling out issues with current versions. Must be a some sort of limitation in older versions? Have you tried holding down Control while rotating? Or do you have Transform/Replicate in 9.5? GLOBE-Res
I just tried to Replicate, 0 copy, rotate angle 45 and it still rotated at
GLOBE-Res
Holding in the Control doesn't work either.
Alaskan_Son
Maybe rotate it in a photo editor or Microsoft paint and then import that rotated image
GLOBE-Res
I guess but I thought that Chief would rotate a jpeg.
Alaskan_Son
Oh it does. I guess it just didn't 10 years ago.
GLOBE-Res
Guess not. I used Photoshop to rotate and imported it that way. Paint only gives you 90 degree rotation.
Alaskan_Son
Out of curiosity, would using edit area or group selecting make any difference?
digitecht
The 'Transfore>replicate>rotate' should work with any angle you specify. Don't know why you are having problem. By default, it will rotate at 7.5 degree increments (or 15) Must be plan specific. Post the plan. Francis.
