Steps to install into Chief X7 (may work with lower versions of Chief X?, I have not tried them)

1. Open (start) Chief X7

2. Locate Calibz file on your computer
   and double click Calibz file

3. Files installed into Library
Message shows on computer screen "5 items added to Library"

Andrew Dale the owner of the 3D website got back to me and has fixed the fixed site above

Hi Mick,

Thanks for letting me know, much appreciated.

This is the second time in the last 2 weeks someone has placed re-directs on the .html pages. I have cleaned all the pages so the site is back to normal. What I can't work out is how they are doing it, I can't find any access issues so I will keep an eye on it.

Once again, many thanks for letting me know.

Kind Regards

Andrew Dale

Anyone know how to change label text size? I am working on a large building and the layout scaling is 1/32". The labels are too small and cant be read. I cant find options for text size all the label panel, all it has that box that says use default, that I can check and uncheck. But don't know where to edit this default size or the individual label text size.

Does anyone have a site to OBTAIN MORE PLANTS THAN IN THE CHIEF CATALOGS?  I do a lot of landscape design - and really could use MORE PLANTS ...........
2nd question - EASIEST WAY TO ALTER THE 2D PLANT IMAGE IN COLOR (versus most plant images in 2d are black/white) ... AND STORE THE 2d symbol along with the plant etc

I have a project where I have some plants displaying improperly. Plants that are physically behind another plant are showing in front of it.

The plants that are having the problem are all elevated off the "terrain" and in planter boxes. Originally I had them located in a different floor, then moved them to the layer with all the other plants and the clipping issue went away. Then a few days later I opened the project back up and the problem was back.

I had the plants listed in a separate layer origionally as well. I switched them back to the basic "plant" layer and I am still getting the problem.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any tips for fixing it? I have a presentation to give soon on this project and I am severely limited in the camera angles I can show because of this problem.

      Hello,
I guess it's time to ask this question because I cannot figure out why the program does this. Plants in the background show to be in front of foreground trees. I cannot seem to bring the trees forward and push the plants to a lower layer. Almost as if the trees are transparent. If anyone has this answer it would be much appreciated thank you.

Create 3D tree/plant clusters (I use 5-7 trees for a performance vs. aesthetic balance) where the items are variable heights, and turn the cluster into a symbol.

Then, select the symbol using the Distributed Region tool. Set spacing with a good overlap, and Random Angles.

      The results look like this...
