Lighthouse
Does CA have a problem making curved holes in solids? When I want to make a hollow box, I create a solid and then put another shape inside that I make a solid hole. But when my inner shape has curves it doesn't seem to work. I have also tried using solid subtraction but nothing happens. Can someone help make the black part a hole in the red part? thx! ds.dwg
Garybills
@LighthouseDavid, I just took your dwg converted both to polyline solids, made the outside 14" high and the inside one 16" high and used the subtraction tool and got it to work. This is in X12 also.
Lighthouse
thanks for the reply. did you make the inside one taller to make it easier to see/grab? I assume that means you did the operation in a 3d view?
Garybills
Yes made it taller and in 3d view you can see which one to choose.
