mmekap
I am trying to build a new walk up basement r with stairs. Instead of digging the floor inside the basement for channeling the drain water to the sump pump inside the house, I want to install a sump pump near the door or landing so that it can drain out the water. Is it good idea to dig up and a create a concrete chamber below the landing area and place the sump pump inside the chamber so that any water collected inside the chamber will be drained out by sump pump? How to handle debris? Any other innovative idea to build this pit or any suggestions for this
TheKitchenAbode
In my region this is done with a drain tied into the weeping tile system. If a home has a sump pump then nothing changes. For debris the drain has a trap and a plate, same as a drain for a shower.
