DaveRegis
I'm looking for skinny and slim shaker doors/drawers with distinct textures for the rails, styles and panels. When exported to DAE, the UV info on the faces is lost resulting in the grain of each element all running the same direction. This has been a problem when working with Lumion, D5 Render and TwinMotion. A Chief user had made a standard shaker panel library that solved this issue (see link below), but I also need them in 1" and 1-3/4" variations. I'm using Home Designer, and that doesn't provide any tools to create custom libraries (afaik). Link to the standard shaker panels:
joshuanyambisa
Hi, I can help with this. I have experience creating custom Chief Architect libraries and resolving DAE texture mapping issues. Please feel free to reach out via email to discuss the details. joshuanyambisa14@gmail.com

Steve_Matlaga
Sorry, health issues. Been away from forums. No charge, I am not selling packages. I'm not looking to make money on helping anyone. If you are still stuck, email me at pnfcabinetry@gmail.com Just note you are from the forum. Happy to make you whatever door sets you need. Once I show you, it's stupid easy PS for anyone else, YOU MUST assign a separate texture for your rails vs. your stiles. You also MUST assign a separate texture for your center panel. MOST ALL 3rd party software works via looking at the texture file/color per part. Otherwise, it just sees a solid colored/textured door. Back when I thought custom 3d render software was the best solution, I would assign a single color PER PART! So, every last part of a door had it's own color. Sadly, you can't even do that with Chief's cabinet boxes. There's no tool to separate the actual box frame textures individually. (pretty sad). On a fun note, I promise, all this is 100% meaningless unless Chief steps up to the current technology of our industry! You WILL and are being left in the dust if you don't learn how to use Ai, and prompt correctly. Renders and $1000-$4000 GPU cards are historic artifacts in the next six months to a year at most! Anyway... I hope the above explains how texture/color management works and how it 'talks' to third party render engines. It's all about separate colors/textures per individual door part/or any part of anything! One color per 3d part. You will be a super star of detailed photo renders. (until you figure out ai is way better). Edited 11 hours ago by Steve_Matlaga
