SteveCanbury Posted June 17 Share Posted June 17 For context, My Boss prefers a Horizontal 2x4 Top Rail and a Vertical 2x4 Bottom Rail for our deck railings. The question is: When i export a material list for said deck, I get 2 seperate columns for what is essentially the same board type (ie. a column for 2x4 and a column for 4x2), Is this supposed to be normal ? Not quite understanding why a 2x4 is read differently whether it is Horizontal or Vertical ... It's still the same board.
