I am having trouble getting Chief to use rough openings for Auto Exterior Dimensions

Hi guys,

ive tried going into default settings>dimensions>... but i cant seem to get Chief to Auto dimension only the rough openings for windows and doors...it keeps autodimensioning centres.

Need to make sure you are editing the correct dimension defaults for the view you are working in.  Double-clicking on the dimension button should take you there.

 

Need to make sure you change the locate settings for "locate auto exterior".
