Creating Custom Rugs

Hi, I need help getting a rug pattern to lay properly on a polyline object. (Or if there's a better way to do rugs, please help!)

I'm not sure why it doesn't drop in from corner. Instead I get these odd lines where the imported patten duplicates.

Have you tried making the texture "stretch to fit"?
