C4Adrafting
Is there a way to quickly determine the next revision number? If I have to create a revision that happens weeks or months after the project is submitted, I can't remember what numbers I've used. So, I have to look at each layout page to see what the next revision number should be. Is there a way to manage a list of page revisions that pertain to the entire layout file? robdyck
Hi Terry, I'll attempt to answer although I may not address exactly what you have in mind. The numbering is automatic on a per-page basis so it's not necessarily something you need to keep track of in order to enter new revisions...unless you're using the Label category or which isn't automatic. A simple way to visually identify the numbering ahead of time is to enter the revisions using the 'Edit Page Information' tool instead of the 'Add Layout Revision' tool. That way, all existing revisions will be visible for the page you are currently viewing, with simple and quick scrollable selection to all other pages. The obvious other tool that quickly identifies this is the Revision Table, assuming it is present on each page (for visibility regardless of which page you are viewing). C4Adrafting
Thanks very much for your response. I have been using the "Edit Page Information" tool and a revision table in the title block, but that seems to only report the revisions for that specific page. I am looking for a list of ALL revisions on ALL of the pages. I would like to have the ability to see what revision numbers (and dates and descriptions) have been used throughout the entire layout file. That would help me determine the next sequential number to use when I have to make another revision somewhere down the road. It would be great to just have a master list of revisions with "check boxes" to specify which of those revisions apply to each page.
