Placing appliances in cabinets in X17

Since upgrading to X17, I'm unable to place appliances in cabinets. I keep getting a notice that the cabinet is too small. Is there something that changed in the way this works in the latest version?

@DQUser, what are some of the specific items you are having trouble with?

 

There is a known adjustment in X17 where dishwashers and appliances that are installed sitting on the floor in real life (i.e. the appliance comes with feet), are no longer made in Chief Architect to be inserted into cabinets. Instead, you place the appliance in its place, then add cabinets, panels, etc beside it. In the case of appliances that fit under cabinets, the counter will automatically adjust to cover the appliance - or you can manually add your own countertop.

 

If you are seeing issues with other appliances that traditionally DO require to be housed by a cabinet in the real world, we would love to know the details so we can investigate whether there is a problem that needs review.

That fixed it. I was still trying to place the appliances, dishwasher and ice maker specifically, in the cabinet. Thanks for the help!
